Welcome to LEGION Field Notes
A new home for everything we are building toward the LEGION launch. Drops, design notes, lore, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look.
This is the first post on LEGION Field Notes, the place where we are going to talk about what we are building, why we are building it, and what is coming next.
What this blog is for
Three things, mostly.
- Drops and announcements. Whenever a new card series, expansion, or collaboration goes live, you will see it here first.
- Design notes. The actual decisions behind LEGION. Card mechanics. Rarity curves. The trade-off between competitive depth and approachability. The stuff we argue about internally.
- Behind the scenes. Art process, playtests, community wins, and the occasional misstep we learned from.
Why a TCG, and why now
Trading card games are one of the most durable formats in game design. They reward depth without punishing curiosity. They give collectors something physical to hold and players something strategic to master. The best ones become hobbies for life.
LEGION is our shot at a TCG built for the way people actually play in 2026. That means a system that respects your time, a collectibles model that respects your wallet, and a competitive scene that respects your skill.
What is next
If you are reading this, you probably already joined the waitlist. If not, that is the single best thing you can do right now. Waitlist members see drops first, get early access to limited editions, and shape what we ship next through the community feedback we ask for in every release.
More soon. Welcome to the field.
